Freyja Healthcare, a US based medical device company, has successfully completed a USD 6 million equity round. The funding will support the company’s goal of bringing its first medical device to market, which has already received FDA approval in the United States.
Today, Thursday, October 30, 2025, Oculis Holding AG (“Oculis” or the “Company”), a global biopharmaceutical company focused on breakthrough innovations to address significant unmet medical needs in ophthalmology and neuro-ophthalmology, announced the completion of a share offering of approximately ISK 13.6 billion (USD 110 million).

Proposals for amendments to the terms of the HFF bonds, issued by IL Fund, were approved by bondholder meetings on April 10th and the conditions for settlement was approved by the Icelandic Parliament on June 3rd. Arctica Finance has been involved in the project since October 2022, when the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs published a report on the status of the IL Fund. Today, Eik fasteignafélag hf. (“Eik” or the “Company”) has signed a purchase agreement for the acquisition of all share capital in Festing hf. The sellers are Blue Ocean B.V. og SMT Partners B.V. Festing’s properties in Iceland are approximately 43 thousand square meters in size across 12 properties and house the operations of Samskip hf. in Iceland. Lease agreements for the properties will be for 20 years from and including the delivery of Festing's share capital.

The innovation and technology company GreenFish has completed its first funding round. The company develops artificial intelligence models trained on supercomputers using satellite data to provide the fishing industry with 10-day forecasts on fish locations. These models also provide estimates regarding the volume, quality, and composition of catches across all the world's oceans.
The land-based farming company Thor Salmon has completed a equity raise of ISK 4 billion through a private placement. The equity raise was led by IS Haf Investments and four of the fund’s shareholders: Útgerðarfélag Reykjavíkur, Birta Pension Fund, Almenna Pension Fund, and Íslandsbanki Pension Service.
Nova, Dineout and its shareholders have reached an agreement on Nova’s investment in addition to a partnership between the companies. Nova enters the shareholders group of Dineout and the companies will cooperate on product development and new solutions. Nova acquires 20% in Dineout along with a seat on the company’s board.
The private equity fund Horn III, managed by Landsbréf, has signed a purchase agreement for the sale of its 50% stake in Lífland. The buyer is Þórir Haraldsson, who previously owned half of the company's share capital. With this acquisition, Þórir becomes the sole owner of Lífland.

Yesterday, Tuesday 23 April 2024, the shares of the ophthalmic‑drug development company Oculis Holding AG were listed on the Nasdaq Iceland Main Market. Arctica Finance managed the listing process and advised the company on an ISK 8 billion (USD 59 million) equity raise through a private placement conducted ahead of the listing. Legal advice was provided by the law firms BBA//Fjeldco, Cooley LLP, and Vischer AG.
In advance of the listing, Oculis raised the equivalent of ISK 8 billion (USD 59 million) from Icelandic institutional investors and existing shareholders. There was substantial oversubscription in the offering. The company is well funded and has secured operations well into the second half of 2026.

IS Haf investments have signed an investment agreement to acquire a 53% share in Thor Landeldi ehf. The company plans to develop a 20,000-ton salmon farm in Thorlákshöfn. Among other investors in the project are Norwegian investors Frank Yri, Chief Commercial Officer of Seaborn, and Alex Vassbotten, Chairman of the Board of Seaborn, both of whom have considerable experience in the salmon farming industry.

Eyrir Invest hf and funds managed by JNE Partners LLP and The Baupost Group have signed an agreement whereby the funds will provide Eyrir with a €175 million four-year loan. Through the agreement, each lender has the right to acquire shares in Marel from Eyrir at the end of the loan period.

Líftæknifyrirtækið Alvotech hefur lokið fjármögnun upp á samtals USD 35 milljónir, jafnvirði um ISK 4,5 milljarða, en í þeim hópi sem leggja félaginu nú til nýtt hlutafé eru íslenskir fjárfestar.
Útgerðarfélag Reykjavíkur hf. hélt lokað útboð á víxlum í tveimur flokkum miðvikudaginn 24. febrúar sl. Þetta er þriðja útboð félagsins á innan við hálfu ári, en það fyrsta á þessu ári. Útboðið heppnaðist mjög vel líkt og áður. Tilboð bárust að fjárhæð 3.500 millj. kr. frá 14 aðilum sem var umtalsvert meira en í síðasta útboði.

On April 6, 2020, Fredensborg ICE ehf. launched a tender offer to acquire all outstanding shares of Heimavellir hf. The validity period of the takeover bid expired on June 15, 2020. A total of 242 shareholders accepted the offer, which amounted to 24,32% of Heimavellir‘s outstanding shares.

On 10 March 2020 Fredensborg ICE ehf. (the “Offeror”) acquired 7,168,946,995 shares in Heimavellir hf. (“Heimavellir”), which represents 63.72% of the total issued share capital of Heimavellir. Prior to the acquisition the Offeror held 10.22% of Heimavellir's shares and following the acquisition the Offeror holds 73.94% of total shares, issued by Heimavellir.
Fredensborg ICE ehf. has acquired 7.168.946.995 shares in Heimavellir hf., which represent 63.72% of the total shares. The shares were acquired at a price per share of ISK 1.5 and therefore the total market value of the acquired shares is ISK 10,753,420,493.

Hagar hf. hafa tekið tilboði fjárfesta í skuldabréf í nýjum óverðtryggðum flokki, HAGA 181021, en tilboðin bárust í framhaldi af lokuðu útboði félagsins þann 30. september sl. þar sem Hagar höfnuðu öllum tilboðum í óverðtryggðan flokk skuldabréfa. Óskað verður eftir að nýju bréfin verði tekin til viðskipta á Aðalmarkaði Nasdaq Iceland innan 6 mánaða.

The Icelandic Competition Authority has approved the merger of Hagar, Olís and the real estate company DGV. Arctica Finance, together with Landslög, acted as advisor to Hagar. The purchase agreements for the transaction were signed in April 2017, subject to due diligence results, approval from the Competition Authority, and approval by a Hagar shareholders’ meeting for a share capital increase. The due diligence condition was waived in July 2017 and the share capital increase was approved at Hagar’s Annual General Meeting in June 2017.

The agreement was signed following negotiations regarding Hagar hf.'s bid in an open sales process. Arctica Finance acted as the advisor to the buyer.
Lýsing hf. has issued a new bond series, LYSING 16 1, with a total nominal value of ISK 2 billion. The bonds are 7 year annuity bonds that pay monthly interest based on 1-month REIBOR plus a 1.10% interest spread. The bonds are secured by a pledge in a diversified portfolio of loans and financing agreements. An application will be made for the bonds to be admitted to trading on Nasdaq Iceland.
Reykjavík Energy (Orkuveita Reykjavíkur) has reached an agreement with the holders of the bond OR 12 2016 regarding an extension and partial refinancing of the bond.
Lýsing hf. recently issued bonds with a nominal value of ISK 900 million in the bond series LYSING 15 1. The company has now issued a total of ISK 4 billion in nominal value in this bond series since November 2015. The bonds are annuity bonds with a five-year term and pay monthly interest based on the 1-month REIBOR rate plus a 120 basis point margin. The bonds are secured by a diversified loan portfolio.
The City Council has approved an offer from Arctica Finance, on behalf of investors, for the non-indexed bond series RVKN 35 1 with a nominal value of ISK 1,200 million at a yield of 6.42%.
Yesterday, a meeting was held with the holders of the bond Skipti 13 01, followed by a meeting with the company’s lenders. The bondholders approved Síminn’s proposal to increase the prepayment flexibility of the bond class, along with tightening financial covenants and adding a pledge restriction to the class.
The Financial Supervisory Authority in Iceland has approved the merger of H.F. Securities with Arctica Finance and Arctica Finance has assumed all rights and duties of H.F. Securities. The companies have been merged under the name of Arctica Finance.
For the last weeks Arctica Finance has worked with Vátryggingafélag Íslands – VÍS Insurance – in issuing and selling subordinated bonds. Arctica Finance, in cooperation with investors, initially submitted a binding offer for the total issue amounting to ISK 2.5 bn. Nevertheless, Arctica Finance engaged in the sale of the bonds, VIS 16 1, and they have been sold to a wide group of local institutional investors and were almost twice oversubscribed.
The initial public offering of shares in Síminn begins on Monday, October 5 at 10:00 and ends on Wednesday, October 7 at 16:00. The size of the offering amounts to 1,737,000,000 shares, or an 18% stake in the company, with a minimum sale value of ISK 4,689.9 million.
