The innovation and technology company GreenFish has completed its first funding round. The company develops artificial intelligence models trained on supercomputers using satellite data to provide the fishing industry with 10-day forecasts on fish locations. These models also provide estimates regarding the volume, quality, and composition of catches across all the world's oceans.
The company has won several awards, including the Icelandic Seafood Awards last year and the 2025 Seafood Innovation Award in Norway. Additionally, the company secured a sustainability grant from Landsbankinn, an innovation grant from Íslandsbanki, and a Growth Grant from the Technology Development Fund (Tækniþróunarsjóður).
This funding will enable the company to strengthen the development of GreenFish's solutions, as well as its sales and marketing efforts in international markets.
Arctica Finance acted as GreenFish’s advisor during the funding process.
