
Freyja Healthcare has completed an USD 8 million funding round. The offering was directed at a limited group of domestic investors, with a high percentage of those who received the presentation choosing to invest in the company.
The company was founded in 2017 by Jón Ívar Einarsson, one of the world’s leading specialists in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. Since its inception, the company has been developing medical devices designed to revolutionize women’s surgical safety while also making procedures easier and faster.
The company’s first medical device has already received FDA market approval in the United States, and three additional devices are expected to receive market approval by 2027.
